Hope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild PossibilitiesHope in the Dark: Untold Histories, Wild Possibilities by Rebecca Solnit

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rebecca Solnit has become a strong voice for activism in politics, feminism, and environmental causes. This book, a recent reissue of a book she wrote during the Bush (II) administration with a couple of new additional chapters, examines the concept of hope, and how to fight despair against the seemingly overwhelming odds. Perhaps even more relevant in the age of Trump, this book is encouragement and hope itself, reminding us that change is gradual and the smallest effort can produce big impacts over time.
