Graphic Novel Mania

While I'm in the midst of several longer books as well, I've read a few graphic novels recently.

Harrow County, Vol. 1: Countless HaintsHarrow County, Vol. 1: Countless Haints by Cullen Bunn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

On her eighteenth birthday, Emmy learns a dark secret about her father and her townspeople that threatens her existence. A classic and creepy Southern Gothic that asks if the past is ever really the past or dead. Looking forward to volume 2.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe (Deadpool Killogy, #1)Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe by Cullen Bunn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rounded up from 3.5 stars

A stand-alone horror story starring the one and only Deadpool as his questionable sanity goes even further beyond the fourth wall. It's a gruesome, violent, fun, occasionally funny, story that pushes the outer limit of the character.

Rat Queens, Vol. 3: DemonsRat Queens, Vol. 3: Demons by Kurtis J. Wiebe

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A fun adult adventure series that just keeps getting better. This one finds the queens dealing with their pasts and the ramifications of them for their alliance. Without giving anything else away, this one does end on a cliffhanger and I can't wait for Volume 4.
