Bringing Up BebeBringing Up Bebe by Pamela Druckerman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An American journalist living in Paris and raising three children compares and contrasts the differences in American and French parenting styles. French children appear more well-behaved, more polite and well-mannered, and to be more adventurous eaters. They sleep through the night at much younger ages. There is insight to be gleaned from this book and the French method, which it should be mentioned is Parisian and decidedly middle class. Druckerman is an engaging writer and there is a lot of food for thought for parents in this book.
