The Family FangThe Family Fang by Kevin Wilson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Annie ("Child A") and Buster ("Child B") have returned home to their famous performance artists parents' home with much regret. Through flashbacks, we see the use of the children as props in the performance art, mostly focused on making spectators uncomfortable or embarrassed, and come to understand why the children are so eager to escape their parents' long shadows. It is both funny and sad, realistic and ridiculous. A meditation on family and art and absolutely brilliantly written. Highly recommended.
