The Case of the Missing Books (Mobile Library Mystery, #1)The Case of the Missing Books by Ian Sansom

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

(Rounded up from 3.5 stars)

Israel Armstrong, Jewish vegetarian librarian, accepts a job in a small Irish town, but he quickly realizes it's not what he expected. The library is closed, they expect him to run a mobile library, and all the books are missing. A fish out of water story with a clash of cultures and expectations, at times very funny and amusing.

Unfollowing YouUnfollowing You by Komal Kapoor

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

A collection of "poems," more like ruminations and text message compilations, following the arc of a failed doomed relationship of young people. While I'm sure some people probably relate (particularly young people in their first relationships), the "characters" here aren't fully formed and while there is some nice writing, there's no subtext or nuance here.

[I received an advanced e-galley of this book through Netgalley.]
