Trials and Tribulations

This comic pretty much summarizes my woes regarding writing these days (unfortunately, I cannot take any credit for even doing the comic itself):

I have completed my first book of the year. I had borrowed it from the library, before Christmas inundated me with new books (my friends know me well). I read A Gentlemen's Game by Greg Rucka. It's a contemporary spy thriller with a female protangonist named Tara Chace. She's the heroine of graphic novels known as the Queen & Country series by the same author that I have not read; this is the first, but not the last, time she has appeared in the traditional text novel. I enjoyed it immensely as a page-turning escapist thriller. It also made me itch to play Spycraft again.

I did a lot of work on my apartment today. It's amazing how much crap you can accumulate over the years. I had loaded 2 bags in the bin outside early this morning, which was prompty dumped since it is my trash day. Subsequently, I refilled it. And there's still three bags currently sitting in my house with more to come.

Purging, though, is a good feeling. I will miss Louisville and many people here, but I am excited about moving - a new job, a new place, a new life.

In the meantime, there is packing. If I can tear myself away from books and the Internet long enough.

HAHAHAHAHA!! I so relate to that comic as well. I find myself daydreaming about how people will respond to my stories when they are but kernels of ideas in my head.

BTW, continued good luck wishes for the job search ::hug::
