A brief entry

I had some errands to run during lunch so it got me outside. It's pretty darn nice out, mid-50's under a clear blue sky. The sun and warm temperature improved my mood some. Can't complain for January.

Last night, I watched "The Island." It was okay, though not good in any real sense. The set-up was too long for an action picture, although once it got there, the action sequences were pretty good. I was surprised how violent it is for a PG-13. Michael Bay has done much worse (Bad Boys 2 anyone?). But can Sean Bean not get any roles besides BIG BAD GUY? He was good in this, but I've seen the same performance in "National Treasure" and "Mission: Impossible 2".

(I mention Sean Bean because women swoon and if I keep mentioning him, they may associate me and my LJ with swooning. While I'm committed to rosepurr, women swooning over me would entertain me. Okay, I'm just a jackass. Albeit an amused and funny one.) ;)

*checks IMDB* He's the hero of a series of British films based on a swashbuckling, roughly Napoleon-era series-plays Richard Sharpe. Haven't seen them though.

I think by women swooning, you mostly mean *me*, and I already swoon over you. Plus, he's the hero in the Richard Sharpe series, which ROCKS!

Someone else mentioned the Richard Sharpe series. Apparently, I must seek this out.

He plays a green coat in the British Army. He's more of an anti-hero, really. Roguish and all that.

Do you know about the green coats? They were kind of the army irregulars. They didn't stand in the field and fire like the red coats- they fought from different positions and in the woods and such.

Ah. I don't know anything about them. I will check Netflix and, if it's there, add it to the list.

There's a bunch of them- it ran for a long time. You might try the library. I know LexPL had it.
