William F. Buckley Jr. died today. This makes me sad. He and I disagree on pretty much every political issue, but I always found him entertaining and engaging on television. I enjoyed his huge vocabulary and unapologetic wit. He was a passionate, thoughtful intellectual thoroughly engaged in current affairs.

He may be one of the roots of the current abysmal state of our federal government, but I will miss him.
