January is hard. I know it's only the 10th, but January and February pretty much suck. It's cold (which I hate - sorry,
raencloud and
big_biff). This year is even worse because it was unseasonably warm so now that January actually feels like January, I'm grumpy and tired.
When I was in college (undergrad), we got a six-week break between fall and spring semesters. We ended around the same time as everyone else, but didn't start again until almost February. This meant, after the holidays, I had a couple of weeks when my friends were still around. Then they returned to their institutions and I spent two weeks pretty much sleeping.
This hibernation pattern has followed me into adulthood. I'm good through the holidays and a week or two after, but then (right around now) all I want to do is sleep. And, much like a bear, I don't want to be disturbed. For the past couple of days, I haven't bothered to set my alarm. I still wake up around the right time, albeit cranky and not well-rested. Having
rosepurr back in L'ville does not help my sleeping, either.
So I'm grumpy, tired and cold.
Poke the bear some more, God, and see what it gets you.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
